Emet Outreach Inspires Their Students In Israel
Summer vacation took on a higher meaning, when a group of young women from Emet’s Fellowship and Step It Up programs were inspired to expand on their Torah learning in Eretz Yisrael. After an intense semester at college, the students chose to explore their heritage and devote more time to Torah study. Ms. Shira Fendel, Emet’s Women’s Director, traveled to Israel to guide and unite the Emet students, some of whom were learning at Neve in Jerusalem and others who were there on vacation. She spent over a week creating memorable programming to make their experience as impactful as possible...

Emet Young Professionals Event With Charlie Harary
Emet’s Young Professionals division recently hosted an inspiring evening with world-renowned speaker Charlie Harary. This event was part of a series of networking and educational events that are geared towards men and women in their 20s who have graduated college and are pursuing their careers. Attendees enjoyed sushi and a wine tasting. The highlight was the address by Mr. Harary on the topic of “Unlocking Greatness.” He engaged the crowd with his authentic, motivational style. He shared many amusing and touching anecdotes all with the lesson of personal growth. The overall message to the audience was to not get too comfortable and limit themselves in reaching their full potential in life and in Judaism. Mr. Harary said the choice is “comfort or greatness,” and he encouraged all to challenge themselves and reach for greatness...

Emet Students Share Second Annual Shavuos Retreat In Lakewood
A three-day Yom Tov can be a daunting undertaking, but the young women from Emet’s Step It Up program were ready for the challenge. Accompanied by Ms. Shira Fendel, Emet’s Women’s Director, 20 students embarked on a meaningful Shavuos experience in Lakewood, New Jersey. The group was joined by 20 girls who are students of Ms. Chevi Garfinkel, an acclaimed lecturer and educator. It was a Yom Tov full of learning, connecting, and inspiring one another...

Emet Students Share Their Visit To Poland And Prague
Remembering the Holocaust takes on critical importance as the years pass and survivors are no longer with us to share their first-hand accounts. At Emet Outreach, Holocaust education is an essential part of ensuring Jewish continuity. Thirty-seven Emet students joined Rabbi Mordechai Kraft, Dr Peryl Agishtein, and Ms. Chaya Rosenbaum on a life-changing trip to historical Jewish sites in Poland and Prague. The itinerary included emotional and thought-provoking visits to concentration camps, mass graves, synagogues, and yeshivos. Emet Outreach’s Rabbi Michael Fuzaylov Makes Forest Hills Home
“Home is where the heart is” is often used to describe what really matters when putting down roots. For Rabbi Michael Fuzaylov and his wife Dina, “the heart” is being with Emet students. The couple and their young family recently moved from Kew Gardens to Forest Hills. It was not the typical move – usually driven by the need for more space or to be closer to family and friends. In fact, the Fuzaylovs did the opposite. They left their comfortable existence in a community they loved, all to be able to share the beauty of Shabbos and Yom Tov with Emet students.
